A Powerful Buddha Quote about Enemies and a Happiness Tool

I love this powerful Buddha quote about enemies.

“Your worst enemy cannot harm you as much as your own unguarded thoughts.”-Buddha

As you go about your day today, I want you to become aware of how you speak to yourself.

I want you to ask yourself:

Would you allow SOMEBODY ELSE to say some of the mean/negative things you might be saying to yourself.

If this answer is NO WAY – I want you to do what I call a STOP and SWAP.

Don’t just STOP the negative thought.

You must alsomake sure you SWAP the negative thought with a POSITIVE thought.

Why?

Because it’s far easier to stop a thought, when you fill your mind with a replacement thought.

Some ideas for STOP and SWAP thoughts:

  • Choose a positive reminder of something you know you’ve done wonderfully in your life.
  • Choose to think about some talent/strength/quality/skill you know you have.
  • Choose a thought of gratitude for some wonderful person/event/experience in your life.
